i have recently bought this cream which was supposed to work miracles. I have found that Betnovate isnt curing my vulva LP and I believe neither of the other steroid creams tried in the past have helped or have actually cured it. i have been having this trouble off and on for years now. I read that Emuaid would help but before I apply it I wonder if any other sufferer of LP has had experience of it. Any feedback would be welcome.

    hello I have tried them all and nothing works for me ive had this condition for years myself , it was undiagnosed by my GPs for years they kept telling me it was thrush till about three years ago I was finally sent to a gyn then a dermatologist but still nothing has worked

    i was diagnosed with VLP years ago ( through biopsies). After many medications that did not help, i was referred to a specialist whose practice only deals with diseases of the vagina and surrounding areas. I have been using ELIDEL cream for a few years. i started at twice daily, then once a day, and now at a maintenance dose once a week. MY VLP is in total remission. to me it is a miracle, after suffering with oozing ulcer-like lesions, intense itching and bleeding. Talk honestly with your doctor. LP is a chronic autoimmune disease, which can be controlled. It cannot be cured.

    BTW, I also have oral LP.

    I totally understand what you are going through. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP! New treatments are being developed. This is a great forum to rant, scream and cry. There is always someone listening and supporting you.

      i have both had oral lp for years, im 61, how old are you ellen x

    Hi Karen I am 83 and to tell the truth up until I was 80 I did not have a thing wrong with me aside from years of constipation. Then I started getting itchy red spot at various places on legs arms and back. Nothing showed on biopsy then this horrible LP which I thought was cured. Now back to steroid creams. I have just opened and applied a new tube of Eumovate which has eased the soreness so have put off going back to doctor for a few days to see how things go. if you hear of any miraculous creams or lotions I am sure there are lots of us who log in daily to hear of cures.x

      thank you bianca, sorry you too are dealing with this, you are doing amazing cant believe you are 83.. do you have oral lp too? i know there are different types of lp x
