Comments and advices are urgently needed for my BPH problem?

Dear all, I just had a greenlight BHP surgery and after that stayed in the hospital for a night to wash blood in my bladder. I was sent home the second day and had the catheter removed the third day morning in my doctor's office. After the removal of the catheter I was able to urinate with very weak stream ( most time it was dropping). I tried very hard to urinate about 500 ml from 9am to 12pm. I revisited doc's office to see if a new catheter should be put in and he said just wait to see if condition gets better. But as time goes on I was unable to pee at all and I had to rush to ER at 1 am to ask for a new catheter. During more than 3-h waiting in ER, I felt very uncomfortable (terrible experience).
Is the procedure a failure? What should I do next? I am very concerned.
I am 68 now, and the BPH have troubled me for about 10 years. First it was elevated PSA (> 4.0) with manageable symptoms. From 2019 I stated using Alfuzosin ( a medicine to help urinate), my PSA was about 6-7, and the BPH symptoms were still manageable. I didn't see any urologist in 2020. When I had two PSA tests in 2021, the values jumped to 12.5 and 14.6. I then had an MRI with negative results.
In April 2022, I feel I have a lump below my navel, and my PCP requested a ultrasound test on my bladder. It came out my bladder wall is thickened and I had a urinary retention of 550 ml. I then visited my urologist and his nurse detected 1000ml urine retention. The doctor ordered blood test and sent me home without draining the urine. At that time I had to go to restroom every 2 hours and try to empty my bladder 2-3 times I got up each time at night, but I didn't feel much uncomfortable with my bladder. But after that it was getting worse. I had to get up in less than two hours sometime event just one hour. I saw the doctor five days later. The blood test results show my kidneys didn't function normally, and my retention was drained. My draining catheter was removed five days later, but without the catheter I was unable to urinate at all for 16 hours (from 9am to 1am the next day). I then rushed to ER, and had the retention drained (1200ml). I kept the catheter for the following 2 weeks, and I had a biopsy (with negative results) and the greenlight BPH procedure. My prostate has a volume of 86 ml.
Most people say they have a stronger urine stream immediately after the surgery. I could urinate before I used the first catheter, but now after the surgery I was unable to urinate. Is it because the doctor didn't remove enough prostate tissue? Or I need wait for more time. Now I am feeling I will carry a catheter for the rest of life. It is terrible experience to have catheters placed and removed frequently.

It does take some time after laser surgery to see the results. My own PSA has been as high at 14 or 15 and then drops after laser surgery (I have had 4) so I would not be concerned with PSA readings.

Raised PSA doesn't necessarily means cancer. It could be sign of infection/ inflammation.
