just wanted to give those with this type of fracture some hope, all I could find online was the horror stories, so here is a good one, fractured it on a cruise on the 25 May, put on a boot non weight bearing for 4 weeks, at 5 week appointment told I could weight bear and transition to a shoe!!  Don't think the worse, these fractures heal without surgery with plenty of rest and following doctors advice!  Coulnt get a fracture of the fifth metertarsal worse, so as at today 1july I am in transition to a shoe!!!

No unfortunately left my phone in my car!! So couldn't get a picture if it, but  there was significant callus, which meant kicking the boot to the kerb!! Just have to get use to life without it!
