Complete hip replacement.. more nervous than anything.

Hello, This THR thing I think will be a miracle once completely healed. I have a very positive outlook for after especially after I have suffered for so long.
It is quite fresh since I had it done Dec 28.. and was released home Dec 31st.
I try hard to keep my leg straight but that has proven very difficult. It has made me wonder will it stay sideways cause even walking it it feels a bit sideways but I'm also wondering if it's not jus swelling.
I went into this scared and crying so bad and the drs were phenomenal.. I had a spinal and also a long acting morphine injected into my spine.. coming out I felt wonderful and pretty much still do except yesterday. I think I spend too much time up.. sitting up and trying to walk around because once it was time to relax i had one hell of a time to get back into bed and get comfortable. There was alot of pressure and aching in my groin area and inner thigh muscle.
Today all in all I'm impressed cause I was able to get out of bed alone this morning for the most part. Yay progress!! I do keep a pillow under my leg and a rolled up towel under my knee and do foot pumps almost all day long.
Good luck to everyone! I'm sure I'll be here tonight. Right now I'm jus fresh and waking up so besides some back pain I'm ok.
Thank you

Things are much better at this point. Sure walking is still a challenge even with the Walker but slowly I am gaining some of my independence back. I am very fortunate to have my hubby home with me.. taking 6 months off work to take care of me since once I hit the 3 month mark I shud be going in for the left. I think it will be welcomed this time because this other one feels so much better. And to think I honestly thought about staying the way I was. I was super petrified. I am so happy I did it. My mood has improved.. I'm so happy.. giddy even and I have lessened my doses of my pain meds. I actually at times don't remember to take some (bedtime especially) and wake up 7 or 8 hrs later thinking Oh yea I forgot to take them last night and I'm achy as I'm trying to get out of bed in the morning but it isn't unbearable pain. I haven't had one of those moments since surgery... MIRACLE right there!!! I know it's impossible but I just wanna beable to get up... walk and shake what my momma gave me.. like right now because I feel so darn good. Lol I have a few concerns which I will address on the 9th and I have opted for the medical cannabis.. have an appointment on the 17th for that. I really don't like the opiod pain meds.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! And Happy Healing

Well... I went to emerg yesterday as I was having complications with the blood thinner I was on... they did an ultrasound and seen that I have no clots in my legs.. so off the blood thinner I am.. yay..
I'm walking real well and the therapist that visits my home says I'm doing/healing quite well. I don't have many concerns.. except 1. Did all of u have a "buldge" around the incision area.. well slightly bigger area (I can.cup it in my hand). Everyone that has seen it.. says it's normal. But I find it a bit disturbing. I've been told it's just the swollen tissue. I have virtually no pain.. just my muscles feel tired.. and I know that's to be expected With all the walking I've been doing (yes with an aid still) and the exercises. I'm alot more mobile than I expected.
