Complete hysterectomy can endo return??

Hi. I Had a complete hysterectomy 4 years ago before surgery Doc thought it would be a regular complete hysterectomy. Once the surgery was performed it was alot worse & more complicated due to me being completely full of Endo! Attached to organs. I was told my pelvis was concrete. While cleaning up the endo attached to my bladder they knocked my bladder which resulted to me having a catheter for 4 weeks. Okay so after my long story my question is after having this complete hysterectomy done can the endo come back???? I'm having some symptoms that I had before. But thought maybe I was probably being paranoid. I truly hope someone knows the answer. Oh & one more thing my Doc took me off my hormone medication.

Wouldn't a google search lead you to articles on it that would answer your question?

Hum, I have tried to Google it & didn't get much of a direct answer. Which is why I came here. Hoping for answers from others. Guess I was wrong.

Do you still have your ovaries? Is yes, then I am leaning towards thinking endo could quite possibly continue as there was already areas of it before. Will be interesting to know what Gynae's say

No both my ovaries are gone. It's probably just me over reacting.

robyn94818 we need to be a bit more sensitive to each other- although many of us have done a ton of research we still want to hear from other women's real life experiences which is why we are all here. Kansasgirl I heard/read somewhere recently that most Gyno's don't realize that a hysterectomy does not resolve Endometriosis - which might explain your issues. I have been on Hystersisters site, watched a bunch of YouTube videos and done a ton of research on Fibroids and Adnomyosis so I don't remember exactly what site it was. But try specific key words when researching because I find that doctors / gyno's don't share much information - I learn most information from forums such as this, and then do further research. I am considering a hysterectomy but what's preventing me at this point is the stories of the bladder / rectum prolapse. I'm afraid of coming out with more problems than I went in with... but I do have to make a decision soon because I have not been able to work for the last 2 months due to beenpractically bedridden with pain / discomfort.
Good luck!

Yes for sure. I had never myself seen that discussed anywhere so thought a google search would be a good start as didn't think anybody on here could give a definitive answer unless there was a tiny chance somebody else had found out that endo would continue as the growths of uterine contents outside of uterus in abdomen would remain attached where they've gone and taking the uterus away I guess may prevent new areas but won't eliminate current growths of it and maybe if a persons hormones are at the right level to mimick cycle at any point then it would activate the areas of endo

Thank you so much for your input. I will be praying that you are able to get some much needed pain relief until you have your surgery. Until a person experience's first hand have no concept of the pain you are dealing with. Prayers.
