Completely lost.....

So last Monday I had a check at the hospital. I had a ssf which also pulled my bladder up enough five weeks ago and she thought everything looked good. But ever since the operation I have been having burning sensations in de bladder area and when I have these I need to urinate often. These ‘attacks’ come and go and can last a couple of hours, sometimes even the whole day. But it can also be that I am fine for two days. I am put on vesicare the relax my bladder, but it is not doing much for these ‘attacks’. Last Monday I was so nervous that I didn’t really address this problem well  enough, so I have called the hospital this morning and will get a call back later on today. This afternoon I am also visiting a pelvic floor therapist.

I just want an explanation for my problem, is is irritation still from the operation? Is it my pelvic floor that is causing this? Or is something else wrong?

Why I am posting here again is because I hope someone recognizes this and can tell what to do.

    Hi ren😘

I am 13 wks post tvh and anterior repair.

I find when I do my pelvic floor exercises I get a burny feeling down there. I'm wondering if I'm squeezing to much ? It's trial and error but it's greatly got an appointment with physio they are fab.

May be once you are guided by her you will feel better.

Its a hard recovery mentally, and my God have I suffered mentally after my first failed anterior repair,I'm paranoid more now than ever..

At the moment in doing 3 reps of 10 squeezes but hopefully I will get used to doing more.

    Anymore questions just ask me😘

I recognize what you say about the burning feeling when doing kegels. Like they are too tensed or tired, irritated, I don't know.

So the gyn called me and said that it should all get better in time. But how much time? And that I should take vesicare for two more weeks. He didn't sound too worried. But I am! Pfffff...

No, I don't think I am doing too much. I take a couple of short walks each day, do some light dusting when necessary and that's about it. Is that too much?

No your doing fine.. some people do washing and bending... no wonder some surgeries fail as its to much pressure early on..

Ive done years of research and know full well if we rest and dont do any lifting etc we have the bezt chance.. this op takes months to feel better.x
