A month ago I had a MRI for my back and they found a growth on my left kidney. Since then I had an Ultrasound and now they are calling it a complex lesion which is 3.0 x 2.9 x 3.7 cm. A year ago I had a MRI that showed on a small collection of fluid around the kidney. Today I go for a triple phase CT. I am worried. Has anyone had something like this and what was the outcome.

I have a 2cm complex kidney cyst, and am having a CT scan done on it in a week, as a 6 monthly check up. I have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and am now hoping this 'thing' on my kidney is not a secondary. In my reading I remember hearing about how cancer cells exude a fluid, that often needs draining off for comfort of the patient, from the lung, the abdomen, but I don't know about the kidney. I have never head of a triple phase CT. I wish you the very best Lynda, keep us updated!
