Complications after Hemorrhoid banding (rubber band ligation)??

I desperately would love some advice and have nowhere else to go... (booked my doctor but the soonest appointment is in 1 month!) 😦
I have a couple of internal hemorrhoids - got banding done ONCE about a little over a month ago - then went back 2 weeks ago to get banding done again since I was experiencing some bleeding with BM still.
For two weeks straight, I'm experiencing some pinching / straining sensation in my rectum and it's affecting my sleep significantly. I feel it too when I'm sitting down - but it comes and goes, and when I'm working/distracted, it doesn't bother me. But when I'm lying down ready to fall asleep, I feel the pinch / a bit of spasm / straining that keeps coming and going the entire night. I tried lying on my back, on my two sides, nothing helps. I end up sleeping only a few hours every night since then.
I've also tried sitz baths and sitting on heat pads - everything just helps temporarily - it's the worst when I sleep at night. I also have good BM every day without blood at all.
I'm not sure what's going on, especially since my first banding experience was perfectly fine and there were no complications.
Has anyone experienced this before?? What did you do after? 😦

Ok , first of all 2 WEEKS! You're looking at 3-6 weeks of recovery! I had 2 brandings at once, and weeks later was still bleeding (slightly) remember every time that you go to the bathroom you technically re-injure the site area that's healing. Drink tons of water! up your fiber. im 3 months post and still feel weirdness after a bm. Everyone heals different.

Hi Donnie are you based in the UK? Have you thought about trying electrotherapy to shrink your haemorrhoids? i had my grade 2 internal piles treated 6 weeks ago and my symptoms are now completely gone. Electrotherapy is where they use a low dose electrical current to shrink the haemorrhoids. I like yourself tried banding and it never worked for me and it was very painful however electrotherapy worked wonders for me. I had specialist colorectal nurse come to my home to treat me which very convenient for me. i was in no pain and went back work the next day.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Karen,
That is correct. The procedure is typically carried out in clinic however i chose to have this treatment done in my home.

Hi Matt!
I'm not based in the UK unfortunately...I'm based in Canada and I can't seem to find any hemorrhoid forums for Canadians. 😦 I will have to look into whether or not electrotherapy could be an option here, thanks a lot for the suggestion!
