Complications after surgery

Posted , 6 users are following.

I’m so frustrated.  As you know I had the 2 surgeries with a complication of a csf leak.  I can not be released to work due to the Cisternography showing I still have a leak but they just don’t know where.  My surgery was Dec 8th and have not gone a day without a headache, balance issues or memory issues.  Then I get a email from Work my benefits are exhausted and now I’m without insurance.    How am I supposed to get this fixed with no insurance!  Sorry just had to vent. I hate MD.

Hi, that's what we're all here for. So you can openly express to us as we can feel your pain. Pls don't stress; if God has brought you to this mark; he'll get you through this also. Don't stress as it could make the situation worse for you. I pray to God to give you strength and some direction. Continue to pray also as God is the cure above all medicine and surgeries.

Hello Willow, So sorry to hear of your situation. I am not sure if you are in the US or not, sorry my memory fails me as usual. Anyway I might have some possible ideas for you if you are in the US. Bertman

I am in the US! I live in Michigan.  I at a point where I am going to throw the towel in and try for SSI but I don’t know if I would get approved.   This is all so overwhelming.

Hello Willow,  I think I would consider applying for disability, I would think that you would have adequate treatment notes from your physicians to substantiate your case. Meniere's disease is listed in the SSA blue book of possible disabling conditions. If you are denied there are several appeal options, I have been through this process myself. Bertman

Due to the surgery I still have a CSF leak.  I received a letter yesterday that my insurance ended on the 7th.  That was a huge shock to me.  I have been paying for long term disability but of course they have to figure out if why I am off I’d preexisting.  What is the first thing you would do to get this process started?  We’re just in shock that they notified me a week after I lost my insurance and had appointment and medications filled during that week.
