Thanks for the reply. All part of the fun I suppose! I too type a lot at work. I used to have a great memory and be very speedy at typing too. It affects my confidence being like this.

Hi all, that’s just me carol i thought I was a good typist but the mistakes im making are embarrassing I have to keep re reading my work. Glad to hear I’m not the only one finding it hard to read forms etc it just doesn’t sink in. Iv got a pension adviser coming to see me and I’m really dreading it because I know i’ll not be able take in what he’s advising me. I just be sitting there like a lemon 🍋 trying my best to look normal😳.

I write myself notes to remind me to do things yet I remember useless information.

At work sometimes i feel really stupid when I forget where iv put a file or some important paperwork then I it knocks my confidence  and wonder how long I can continue in my job.

thinking about you all it’s not a happy time for us xx

In the " brain fog" world right now Funny I was googling cures for brain fog as your post came to my email.

I have forgotten where my car is in the grocery store parking lot several times. My sons try to talk to me sometimes I hear but look at them stunned, I hear them say "mom is in stunned mode again." I work with seniors and deal with some dementia patients and question if that's what I have at times.

Fun, fun, fun. All you can do to a degree is make fun of yourself ?

Omg yes! You know how we women multi task all the time. Well, now, I have to leave myself notes. I honestly never used to have to. Especially when cooking. Before, I could put something in the oven and say to myself "right, that'll ready at about 10 to 3 an hr and 20 or 50 mins, whatever. I would then go about my business, and remember. These are my notes and the things I need reminding of:remember that the washing machines on. 2/remember to put clothes in tumble dyer. Remember to take them out of the and so it goes on!

My daughter laughs at this but I've become synonymous with the phrase "what was I saying" I say that all the. It's just "blank". Thats the only way I can debribe it. Nothingness. I won't forget you, if your don't forget me honey. I'll leave myself a note! Remember, you can message me anytime. Donna xxx

I'm 51 and this has been a problem for me for a couple of years. Forgetting names, forgetting what I'm talking about mid conversation. Very alarming! Luckly not forgetting to pay the bills! I do write everything on my calender. Glad to here in not alone with the brain fog.

Yup. All of this and more. It's so frustrating. I used to be an incredible multi-tasker. 100% on the ball. Now the ball might have replaced my brain. It drives me crazy. Simple tasks take twice as much thought. I prefer this to the illness of "gastritis" that took me down for 4.5 months, but it is still annoying!

Yes..  I  'flake out' at times too..   Meaning to turn left when I went right while driving..   I have a part-time job and want to find a new one but DREAD filling out the forms so I just continue to stay put.. I don't care to make phone calls that I need to do-- it seems to be a lot of effort for me.  Maybe it's the lack of sleep, not sure.

Yes! I'm 46 and believe I have begun perimenopause. I have a lot of the symptoms, but this one is the most frustrating. I just feel like an idiot. Blah!
