Concerned about mole. Seems to have grown.

Hi my wife showed me this today.

She says it has grown in size and will get it checked out. It's just I'm worried and would prefer to pay privately ( even if it means maxing the cards) for a quicker diagnosis.

Have you been to see your GP?  If your GP thinks it looks sinister, then perhaps s/he can suggest a Dermatologist to see privately if that is the route you want to take.  You don't want to pay to see someone privately & find that he ort she doesn't specialise in your particular type of dermatology.

    Good luck.

Thanks for your advice. It's just Ove had bad experiences with GPs and waiting times and have know many other people with similar experiences.

PS I have tried many times to paste a photo here and into my original post but it only allows me to select not paste. Not sure if it's IPhone or the site...

If you save an image to somewhere where you can find it, and then select that image, does that work?

Just read that the forum does not allow pics so that must be it.

They do say always show gp any moles or change in size colour and texture. i have one on my back that itches, risen and gone black in colour and one on my leg, a flat two tone brown one that started of the size of a freckle but now quite large at least 1/2 inch but doctor not bothered about either of them, seemed more interst in size than the itching, im to worried about that one. Think ill get a 2nd opionion.

Yes get it checked out and don't take your GPs word on it. GPs are not perfect. You need 2nd opinion from a skin cancer expert.
