confuse with carbohydrates!?!?

Hi guys,I have two days or orlistat am feeling great and positive. But as I mentioned in my other discussion I keep on recording what am eating but I eat food low on calories and low on fat,my only shock is is super high in carbohydrates??? I been eating oats apples cottage cheese . So why is so high and that carbohydrates include the fibres as well? Or is just tones of sugar? Is kind of scaring me bcz u know orlistat doesn't absorb the carbohydrates... I need some advices and good tips on lowering down the carbohydrates.

    Don't worry about the carbs I lived in pasta n jacket spuds n lost 5stone in just over 5 months. Just worry ur not going over fat allowance.

      Hi hun how are you? I had my weigh in friday i lost 81/2 lbs in 3 weeks im pleased about it and got another prescription for another month but how did you manage such a great loss? I try so hard and to be honest hadnt weighed myself for 6 days before i went to the doctors though i would have lost a but more feel like its still quite slow or am i expecting too much too soon? You have lost such a bug amount i was thinking my carbs were still a but high i keep to between 50% and 55% a day but if i cut too much out im running out of things to eat lol apart from my own arms lol xx

      Yes she lost lot of weight,I will I will be like her very very soon. But u did great too next Friday I have my weighting. I will let u know guys how much I lost btw am on very low calorie diet. I eat still a lot but very low on calorie and in fats

      Hi there have you got myfitnesspal app? You can log every single thing you eat and keep a check on your nutrition daily it will tell you fat. Carbs. Protien. I keep worrying too about my carb intake it was higher but someone else told me to check my carbs so now down to 50%\55% a day i get confused over the daily allowance too sometimes try the app at least tou can see what you have had good luck hope you manage to sort it xxx

      I ate very low fat and 1200 calories a day and used cross trainer everyday and vibration plate everyday. smile

      Do you think the vibration plates are good? I was looking at getting one on ebay but didnt know anyone who has used one xxx

      They really toned my legs up n help with the cellulite. You have to get a good one tho as I had a cheap one 1st and it was rubbish. I use a medicarn salon pro deluxe. It's really good as it works out all the wobbly bits lol.

      Hope you dont mind me asking what make was the cheap one lol so i can avoid it cos knowing me ill end up with that one lol was the salon one expensive id like to try one xx

      The my fitness pal you can check it daily as much as you like might be worth trying it as well as the one your using see which is best xx

      Do you know if it matters on portion size as long as you keep within your calorie intake im sticking to 1200 but my tea tonite was reay big lol ( i know!!) but it just used up my calories left for the day but im sooo full i ate loads would it matter or should i also cut the portion size and spread it out? Xx

      Guys one more things to say....

      Am a muslim ,so am in a trouble bcz Ramadan start middle of June. U know we eat just from 9pm till 2am,is there anyone who deal with this problem what they done???

      Hi there oooh im stuck on this one maybe someone else on this forum might have some info for you or could you change your days over to the nights and eat between these hours? But then you wouldnt fit 3 tablets in that time with 3 meals sad how about speaking to your doctor or nurse maybe they can suggest something or diet hard until june and suspend your diet maybe until its over and start again after wards how long does it last for? Sorry im not much help xx

      Hi, whilst you are taking part in Ramadan you could try just having the 1 meal a day and take just the one tablet per day before this evening meal (I assume you eat your meal just after 9 p.m?). You could take the one tablet and eat a meal rich in carbohydrates such as past or rice and lots of vegetables (are you a vegetarian?). A good idea would be to make a huge oven proof pot of roasted vegetables, I do this and I my favorite vegetables are: red and yellow peppers, mushrooms, onions, sweet potato, baby plum tomatoes (whole), aubergine, butternut squash, carrots, celery and mange tout and you cut them all up into rough, quite large, pieces, spray some Fry Light onto the dish, put the vegetables in the dish and sprinkle with mediteranean mixed herbs and addtional oregano, salt and pepper. Then you place in the oven and roast on a low heat for half an hour. At the same time, boil your pasta or rice, or gnocchi, and when that is ready drain the water out, put 1 tablespoon of extra light philadelphia cheese in, mix it around, and then add the roasted vegetables and serve with some fresh coriander or basil sprinkled over the top. It is really nice and obviously you can add whatever herbs and spices you like and prefer to the vegetables. If you have that meal with 200 grams of pasta and the vegetables that makes a huge bowl - enough for 2 people - but you could eat it all if you wanted to as it would be within your calories and fat allowance for the day. As you are only having the one meal, this would be under 1200 calories and the fat would also be within 15g (the max grams of fat per meal). Then throughout the day you don't have any of the Orlistat as you aren't eating. I hope that helps give you an idea of how you can still eat a low fat meal during Ramadam and good luck.
