Confused

I had inguinal hernia surgery in 2013 due to a strangulated hernia on my right sight where at the time I was told there was a very small one on my left but nothing to worry about. About 2 months ago I started getting excruciating pain from the sight of my hernia a repair and pain from the left side with the pain going right down to my testicles. Today I have ultra sound as no one could feel a hernia. The ultra sound has turned up nothing anywhere (I also had my testicles and kidneys done) I am on 30mg codein and 300mg Gabapentin to ease the pain. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can't help much here but I would like to ask you since I couldn't find on the web any decent information about it, how does it feel when the hernia gets strangulated? does it really really hurt, do you feel in instantly, what symptoms do you get basically... and did you react immediately for them or waited until going to the ER

When the hernia strangulated the lump becomes really big and doesn't go away when you lie down and you cannot push it back in the pain is akin to someone grabbing hold of your scrotum and squeezing it and its a constant pain. It is extremely painful. I had it for two days before I went to the doctors, I saw the specialist on the fourth day and I was operated on on the fifth day. The consultant told me I was on the verge on a pulmenary embulism.
