Confused

Hello. I was tested for hep C 10 years ago and was positive. My last viral load check was 5 years ago and it was pretty elevated. I don’t know what it is now, when I went to the lab last week they did every test involving the liver except that. I had an ultrasound done on Monday and I peeked at the screen on the way out and it said liver length was 16.85 cm. I talked to the GI doctors office today and they told me that the ultrasound showed there was not currently any signs of liver disease but they could tell that there was previously disease there. I’m kinda confused as to what this means, so I was trying to see if anyone out there has been told something similar and can share their experience or anything that might help me better understand. Thanks!
