Confused....Angry....

I have numerous diseases, and take a large amount of meds. I read people's comments on this subject and think to myself, Why hasn't anyone referred me to specialists? All I see is a pain specialist and he say's there is nothing he can do for me. What should I do? I really have no-one to turn to.

Thank you in advance....

there is nothing you can do for fibro

you learn to live with it you see a pain specialist

what other specialist do you want to see

you you say diseases ,thats like things that spread from person to person

illnesses or conditions are like fibro .ME  Ms  .

if you talking about symptoms like i b s dizziness nauasea pain fatigue

etc there symptoms not seperate conditions .

and worse still if you take alot of meds alot of them will have side effects simulair to fibro so you could be making a already painful condition worse

    Hi Bouncingbabes

    Wow....poor you !

I feel for you, and the only advice I can suggest is keep on going to your GP as ask to be referred. It's so frustration when professionals don't follow your plight for help.

Hope you get some help soon.

Thank you for your support :-) I suffer with Coeliac disease, fibro, osteroporosis, osteoarthritis, Heamochromatosis, Arthritis, depression, IBS, diabetes, Also, just had a MRI to confirm that my spine disc's are getting squashed and pushing on my spinal cord, so have sciatica down both legs and into my feet. After years of problems I went to see a locum doctor who admitted that I had problems, so he refered me to the pain specialist, he was the one that said I had Fibro. That was 15 years ago. All I do is take meds, I really just want someone to talk to me and help me live without meds. I hate it, I've lost all my teeth, put massive amounts of weight on and can barely walk now. Looked at these 4 walls for 10 years now and it is getting me down a lot. I got fed up with seeing a gp only to be told that there is nothing they can do for me and that I will just have to learn to live with it, but surely it is not fair/nice or right that in this day and age that you have to put up with this much pain? I want to be told advised on what exercises or diets are best for me. I have looked up on web but still confused, because i'm allergic to a lot of stuff what should I eat or do to make myself feel bettter?

    Hello Bouncingbabes,

How difficult this must be for you, my heart goes out to you. So many difficult conditions for you to contend with. As Tiswas says, if you are on so many different meds they could be working against each other and causing you more problems. P'raps you could talk to pain specialist about cutting back and finding other ways to manage some conditions. There are lots of things you could try, like natural remedies, but I would suggest you look into meditation, mindfulness, pacing your self and CBT, also water therapy is meant to be beneficial. I hope you are able to be proactive in managing your conditions, not easy, but I wish you all the best.

    Take care, Anne
