Confused by a rash

I started having a rash on the inside of my elbows about 5 weeks ago. Then it slowly started to spread. It is on my neck, wrists, calves, and top of the feet now. My doctor thinks it is eczema. I am unsure about that. I have tried cortisone spray which doesn't the help the itchiness. I have tried thinking of everything I could like soap, environmental, and dry skin. Nothing has changed with the soaps or deodorant. Nothing environmental that I could think of and I never had a problem with dry skin and the skin doesn't feel dry. Any ideas?

It does look like eczema and the parts that are affected are the usual eczema pattern, and you dont need to have dry skin to have it.A cortisone ointment that can be rubbed in may be better. Eczema can occur for any number of reasons. Genetics...if any of your family have had it then you may get it.....doesnt have to be Mother or Father, it can go back some way. It can be caused by stress so only you will know if this is the case. If you can lessen the stress it helps. It can be a reaction to something you are eating....have you started eating anything that is not normally in your diet? I will send you a private message
