if you have had a positive swab no need for a blood test the test is right

if the took dna from the blister (fluid) and it was within the 48 hr mark of starting then its more then likley positive.

if u have had no breakouts how have they done a swab ?? because they have to swab open herpes sores to enable to get a result

if you have had an open sore then thats a breakout if the swab came back positive the first swab may bot have contained any of the virus the second swab must have

Yeah the thing is i had the sore for over a week before I even got checked out. im pretty positive that she got some cells into both sticks she used because it hurted like hell and a couple hours later I went somewhere else and got swabbed where it seem she barely touched the sore didn't hurt as much as the first 2 swabs. but like I said I may just be a LUCKy one with this virus because since then I havent had an " break out " and I have a regular life .. had my period and all NOTHING. the sore didn't crust over it just went away

what kind of swab tests? culture or PCR. if the positive was Pcr it's most likely correct. if the culture was pcr there is a chance it was a false positive. blood tests recommended 12 weeks after last exposure.

if the negative was pcr* not if the culture was pcr
