Confused! Please help me and shed some knowledge...

Hello,

I was having lower abdominal pain and pelvic pain since 4 months. So, I went to see my gynec last month. She examined me and said everything looks good and she didn't feel any changes in size or mass or cyst but just to mske sure everything is normal she asked me to go for an ultrasound. After 2 days she called me for a tumor markers test urgently and that result was normal. She didn't spoke to me about my ultrasound results.

I was trying to get an appointment with her to discuss about my ultrasound results. Meanwhile I had very sharp pains in my lower abdomen which started suddenly. I called her and she asked me to go to ER. They did a ct scan without contrast and told they see traces of cyst( I don't know what does it mean) and asked me to see my gynec for followup. I have pain but not sharp pain as before. I don't know what is going on in my body.

My question is ultrasound sound showed some mass which made my doctor to get tumor markers test urgently and now ct scan shows no cyst? My gynec is out of station now and I don't even know whether I have any mass or cyst or tumor...? She has my ultrasound results. Iam really confused now. Please help me and shed some knowledge

    Sorry to hear you have not been able to see your doctor.  Isn't there another doctor in that practice that you can see?  I know it is scary to be asked to have a blood test for a tumor marker but glad it was normal.  I don't want to speculate what could be going on but I urge you to insist to see or speak to a doctor about all that has happened so that you can relieve your mind.

      I wish I could go see another doctor but I don't have my reports of ultrasound with me. They sent it to my gynec directly...

      iam confused when ultrasound showed some mass which turned out to be cyst then why did it not show up on ct scan?

      Hey,

      Please don't panic and worry yourself... Because it will only drive you insane, but do insist at your doctors surgery that you want an explanation of what's going on! If the pain continues Hun go back to a&e because they are the best ones to help... I got rushed in twice in the same day with in 4 hours of getting discharged the first time because something wasn't right with my body and I knew that! Don't ever doubt yourself! I had a ct scan that showed I had a kidney and bladder infection the first time round... Then infant on the 2nd time I got rushed in I had an ultrasound the next day and found my cyst! I had a 10cm x 11cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary... I ended up having both removed because I was in so much pain...! But like I say please don't panic yourself just get yourself to the doctors for a 2nd opinion or straight to A&E ... Fingers crossed for you! Let me know how you get on xxxxx

    Hello all...

    I have pain sometimes its sharp and sometimes very crapmy like mensutral pain. I am just done with my mensutral period today is 7th day. I usually have bleeding fir only 4 days, but this time pain is horrivle and even today I see discharge... I have pelvic, abdominal and back pain. This is the first time I see something like this so iam little worried. Is this normal?
