Confused... where is my period?

Hi everyone,

Im very new to this forum but just wanted to look for some advice. I am about 8 weeks post op from my abdominal myomectomy. I had 2 large fibroids removed along with 2 ovarian cyst. Prior to surgery I was taking Birth control continuously for about 7 months to avoid getting my period. The last time i took my BC pill was the day before surgery. My surgery went well. fibroids were removed along with the cyst. I bled for about 2 weeks after surgery. Im assuming it was a mixture of withdrawal bleeding and also from surgery. But currently now I have not seen my period and im getting a little nervous and confused. I have not restarted my Birth control. I wanted to wait and get a period before going back on birth control. I know my body has been going through many changes, but is it normal for my period to be this delayed? Just hoping for some insight for anyone who has gone through something like this.
