Confusion at work and when stressed- anxiety related?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I recently find myself feeling confused, making mistakes at work and having again memory problems. Especially when I get stressed things really get out of hand. Things I normally do with ease suddenly become more complicated. Spelling mistakes when writing an email are plentiful.

Worst is that these symptoms seem to get gradually worse over time. I had periods where it was a lot better just for it to get worse agter another round of sever depression.Just wondering if this can really all be done to my anxiety and depression. Anyone else eperiencing this.

Hi.I think it just feels worse it actually isn't it's just that because it's come back it brings you down cos the anxiety makes you feel worse because it's saying oh know it's back and sonics you so it just feels worse. Yes urs a symtom of anxiety it fogs the brain for s while. Try not let it effect you I bet everybody else who you work with Makes email mistakes but they will just spell check and not give it a thought. Anxiety sufferers can't Do that easily we see it as an oh no things are going wrong I must be getting worse and what if it gets so bad I have to leave my job ! That's what anxiety does ! Try except it as a temporary state and ignor it as much as possible. Just say these are thoughts and not factsI know it's hard been there x

Hello.  This our anxiety irrational thinking. This is where you could benefit from Cognitive Behavorial therapy.  This therapy helps to understand our thinking wrong.  See you are being hard on yourself for making mistakes.  Are you the only one in the world that makes mistakes?  Of course your not.  Albert Eistien a very intelligent person said "To err, is human" He is right, making mistakes is part of being human.  There is a type of thinking call "all or nothing" thinking that we can get stuck in.  Life is either all good, or not good at all.  Life can never be that way for anyone.  Being human is having good things happen to us, as well bad things.  Some can move on from the bad things that happen to themselves easier.  Some of us need to put more focus on what good came out of what bad that came out of us.  I recommend you research CBT and pay attention to "distorted thoughts" Wish you the best.

Ok so it`s ben 3 years now since all this started and it has become worse over time. My ability to concentrate is not there anylonger, loud noise makes it all even worse so do bright lights. Memory is slightly worse too. Same for the fog, it`s just there. Always. For 3 years. Very frustrating. Very exhausting.
