Congenital central hypothyroidism

Anyone have any experience with congenital secondary/central hypothyroidism?

Wee man is 18 months was diagnosed around 4 months when bloodwork shown tsh levels wernt spiking to raise low t4. Suspected since then that problem is with his pituitary gland rather than thyroid but up to now all other hormone levels have been within range. He also had a acth test which came back normal. He has also had an mri of his pituitary which they said looked completely normal.

There was some question marks over wether it could be transient as he was critically ill when he was born but this seems extremely rare.

Can't find much on isolated tsh deficiency from birth or at all in fact, don't know if we should expect other hormones to fail over time or not don't really know much at all and neither does his endo or peaditrician they both seemed stumped also since the normal mri came back?

Does anyone know anything about this it's driving me mad since he started levothyroxine hes really turned a corner but we just want to know what's going on.
