Considering Mona Lisa Touch

Hi ladies,

My gynecologist performs this procedure. She has scheduled dinner meetings for those interested where I am assuming all questions can be answered. I am attending one this week.

I am currently on Vagifem 3x a week and have urinary frequency. If the procedure can fix that alone I would be in, although the dryness has been getting worse. The increase to 3 x a week had really helped so now I'm hesitatant.

The procedure is expensive and not covered by insurance and I'm sure it will be very uncomfortable initially no matter what anyone says.

I don't understand how this procedure can help with bladder issues but I hope to find out this week.

Will keep you posted.

So happy to have found this forum.

Hi Lana:  It helped me with UTI's... had them one after another ... on antibiotics for 3 years and after the Mona Lisa I have had none for over a year... Just had the once a year tune up...Personally I did not like using Premarin and it did not help utis.... Nothing but good things to say about Mona Lisa and not the minimal pain was worth it.

Keep in mind it's a business, just a thought :-)

I went to the meeting my gynecologist held where there were about 20 of us and three speakers who had the procedure done by her.

The meeting was really informative and the doctor passed around the instrument that will be inserted so we can see what it looks like. Nothing to be afraid of - just a slim metal cylinder.

The speakers were great but I left depressed that they have such great sex lives now!! One has a husband who is 76 years old and she made it sound like they are now like porn stars. This isn't realistic for those of us with husbands on meds for whatever at this point in life! But it will improve the sex life we do have and i will feel better so it's really for me.

I am having the first one done in less than a week and I'm looking forward to it.

One speaker said it did improve her bladder as far as things like peeing when sneezing or coughing so that's another plus if it does that!
