Considering taking lexapro again

Hi All,

ive been off all medication for three years now and been anxiety free, but this year has been horrendous not just with Covid but suffered with the loss of a special friend, issues with my daughter, irrate neighbours, and my husband losing his job with the airlines.

Had two mild panic attacks at 3am in the mornings and just feeling on edge all day. The slightest health issue gives me the jitters.

im seeing my Doctor on Friday to test my BP again as it has spiked im sure due to my anxiety rising. Do you think its time to go back on the meds as the quality of my life is spiralling or try and grin and bare it? Im 69 and just looking forward to retirement and this all flares up again!

what a shame you have had a set back but its not surprising with all thats going on. Why dont you look at some natural remedies first there are different ones for anxiety also I find reflexology very good also yoga and mindfulness it may be just enough to help

you over this difficult period. I am on Citalopram 10 mg and have taken it for 4 months and although I am much better I still get jittery days, I wish I had given natural remedies a try first I hope you feel better soon

      • This is sound advice indeed. ive heard that ltyrisone and 5 HTP taken together can give very good results but i need to research this before i take the plunge. in the past when ive gone back on cipramil citalopram or lexapro it was a good six months before i stopped getting the jitters.
