Constant arm pain

Has anyone experienced constant or at least very frequent arm pain/muscle tension in the arms?

Not immediately after an anxiety attack but long after. It's been 5months for me and my body doesn't seem to want to go back to normal. My arms ache constantly especially my elbows. Sometimes even my pinky fingers feel weird kinda numb&weak.

I'm real scared and a constant worrier but the more aches I feel the more I panic. I am a hypochondriac with depression n GAD. Some days I'm NOT anxious about anything so why do the aches keep coming? It's been 5months since my anxiety attack, does anyone have these issues so long after anxiety?

Yes I have a lot of tension in my body.. A lot in the arms which can cause anxiety symptoms in the arms(pain). Progressive muscle relaxation helps and meditation and relaxation. I would YouTube PMR and try that.

Thanks a lot I'm gonna check it out. Because even tho I'm a hypochondriac who thinks I'm gonna drop dead one day a part of me still thinks rationally sometimes. All of this started directly after my 1st big anxiety attack, is it a coincidence? I was fine before.

I understand.. Anxiety can manifest into any type of pain it is horrible. For me new symptoms will keep popping up if I'm not scared of the usual symptoms so their goes the circle of fear.. It always ends up being anxiety. It won't stop until you learn to control your stress / anxiety levels but doing those techniques I listed can help^ Diet / exercise / sleep / vitamins help aswell

I try to exercise, I run even 3times per week. Before anxiety I was actually a distance runner and loved sports. Today my muscles are jumping n twitching.

Ook that's good. I noticed for me it's all or nothing .. My diet has to be clean (no fast food no coffee / alchohol no stimulants) exercising often / lots of sleep / vitamins / no over working. If anything is off balance I'll start getting anxiety. I know for some people it could be trama related.. Or just the fear of death all the time or fearing for their health due to their symptoms could keep your anxiety around.

Hi Nattalie - I was wondering whether you are on medications of any description? Also, have you altered your diet in any way recently?
