Constant/daily dizziness?

Anyone else have daily dizziness? Like the kind that never goes away? I mean, some days are better than others but it's still always there. I always feel "off" and "unwell".

I was dx w Menieres in June this year after 11 years of idiopathic vertigo. However, I've never had the dizziness like this. That constant feeling of being "off". Which would probably explain why after 11 years my ears finally show there's something wrong.

But am I alone out there? And sorry if I've already asked this, I can't remember because of brain fog.

Thanks.

No your not alone. I am off balance everyday since June. The dizziness is everyday as well but most days I function well inspite I want to cry. Still tring to understand what happened. MRI normal. ENT eval next. PCP says could have been a virus or coming off medications I was on for years however, that should have gone away by now.

    Very weird. Crazy in fact!

I was told was bppv years ago. But symptoms don't seem to fit anymore. Went to new doc and got some different tests done. Waiting on results.

I specifically asked my neurotologist if he thought it could be and he said no. I was thinking it might be tho.

Nothing wrong with getting a 2nd opinion. Try to find a Neuro that deals with Migrains. The first Neuro I went to said it was not a Vestibular Migrain but depression and gave me a pill. He was wrong.

When it started with me they went the full nine yards. Cat scans, EKG, even sent me to a cardiologist. All came back OK. Was sent to a endocrinologists for blood work and more tests. Did cortisol test see if adrenal glands was working. ENT check ears. Audiologist test hearing and did VNG. They decided was bppv. That was 10 years ago almost. I just had VNG redone cause symptoms are getting worse and don't seem to fit no more. Waiting on test results now. Don't let docs give up.

I had it for 11 years before my ears showed symptoms on tests. I was dx w Menieres in June this year. I would see the neurologist as you could possibly be having silent migraines and the dizziness/vertigo that accompanies them.

I bet doc ends up sending me to a neurologist. Only doc I haven't been to yet.

I would've went long ago if I were you. I'm from US so it works a little different but had I not sought out a neurologist, I would still be told it was anxiety by my PCP. Also, you should see a neurologist that specializes in balance issues and the inner ear. It'll save yourself a lot of time.

Dizziness is so debilitating. There really should be more information on it out there.

I do live in the US. Diazepam has been controlling it pretty well for a while. Because of the bppv diagnosis I never gave it a second thought. Was told can't do anything else for it. Live with it. Only after it got worse and this past bad episode I dug deeper, found this site see others doing much more than i have. Plus the testing has changed alot. When I first started getting it they sent me to a ENT that did nothing. Sent me to a audiologist who dumped warm and cold water in my ears. Made my head spin said that's normal. Now the VNG test is alot different. Use lights, warm and cold air, etc. Deffinately showed left ear is worse. Last time it was about equal. I lucked out twice tho. My primary got me into a ENT in a week. When I tried they told me would be 3months. Got lucky with VNG test. They got me in in 3days. They had a cancellation. Think I used up my luck. If he goes the neurologist route, bet I won't get in til after first of the year

Lol. I was asked a few times if I ever saw a neurologist. So I assume I will or should have already. But they won't just see you. You need a referral and insurance may want one to. See ENT on the 21st. Will find out what test shows and next step.

The part gets me is the costs. It's killing me. Everyone is guessing. If you brought me your car to fix. I replace something and it still don't work. I hand you a bill for thousands of dollars you won't pay it. Why should they get paid for guessing and being wrong. Lol. My ENT won't even right me a note for being off work. I have to keep going back to my primary office every week. 200 bux to say it's still here. I'm no better. Need another note. They ain't doing anything. No meds or anything. Was supposed to get orders to start rehab. They didn't mail them to me. Called Tuesday said it's been a week. Where's my rehab orders? She said I will send them to you today. I should be in rehab already. Now I have to go in tomorrow for follow up again. 3 Rd time. Tell them still dizzy and getting vertigo 4 or more times a day. They will ask about rehab I will say still haven't got orders you told me I would have over a week ago. And the cycle will repeat itself. The 3day weekend screwed things up to.

If They do. Make sure is is a NEURO otologist. A regular Nuerologist only mainly deals with brain issues, you need a specialist who,has studied the  Vestibular System aswell. I went that route,,the regular neurologist was no help at all!

As i said further up or along, dont waste time wit a Neuro only referral, make sure your GP gets it right!
