Constant ear infections, what can I do?

I was a competitive swimmer and when water got in my ear it would result in constant ear infections. I have been to a number of doctors and they have always told me I am just prone to them. I try to use plugs but they don't always stay in. Does anyone know if there is any alternative path I could take to protect my ears?

hi, go see an ent specialist, I had constant ear infections and it took 16 months to find I had a cyst sat behind my eardrum that was causing them. It was that bad I had an operation to remove it and it had infected my mastoid bone and perfortated my ear drum. The surgery was meant to take 3 hours and took 6 1/2 instead as it was that bad. I hope you get to the route of the issue

It's better to stay away from swimming because you are prone to water infection. You should focus on health rather than swimming.
