Constant Fear of Death.......
Posted , 4 users are following.
A day later and my "anxiety" symptoms are only getting a bit worse. Yesterday i posted here saying how i'm feeling ill and how i have many symptoms. Today i only feel slightly worse, with some MILD arm pain and CONSISTANT belching...along with general weakness and some heart fluttering, and to throw in something else, a constant fear of death.
I haven't been able to get closure for so long now, and it's really just tearing me apart. Having so many symptoms that resemble heart problems, and then being told by my doctor that everything is ok, even though i haven't had any testing done AT ALL, makes me on edge 24/7.
I was on the brink of just going to the hospital today, but i fear of the money that will follow that, and on top of that, my dad denies that i should go anyways, making everything worse. Please someone tell me what i should do, i don't know if i'm at risk of some MAJOR heart disease, or mearely a small case of Anxiety...

For some it sounds like you are dealing with panic attacks.
For me to deal with my PTSD and panic/anxiety attacks, I try breathing excersies and even adult coloring books as ridiculous as it sounds (since I can't draw for the life of me), then as a last resort, I've been given Xanax, and it really helps so if you don't mind a single drug that IMO really helped me, even on my worst nights.

Hi Tim,
In order to overcome this fear you must accept that we all die one day and nothing can change that, it's life.
You can start working on some goals that you want to achieve in the future, set out some places you would like to visit seriously life is too short to waste I myself wasted one year of my life fearing death I was agoraphobic for quiet sometime I'm all cured now I just realised that my anxiety was not taking my any where and was leaving me in constant despair most of the time.
Enjoy life while you can because in a blink of an eye you could be gone.

Tim, if your doctor told you you are healthy, it's time to start working on your anxiety management. Anxiety symptoms can definitely mimic heart disease symptoms. I have had racing heart, chest pains, generalized weakness, foggy head and many more. Another thing to remember is that symptoms cannot kill you! They are very uncomfortable and feel horrible but the symptoms themselves are not dangerous. I have had symptoms since my 20s. Not consistently but when I get really anxious. I am now in my 50s and I can share with you what helps me reduce the symptoms when I'm feeling anxious.
1. what really helped me and continues to help me when I need it is speaking with the counselor. They see this on a daily basis and have the tools to help you manage your anxiety. Anxiety is very difficult to manage on our own and it really helps to vent to someone else. I keep going even when I start to feel better because it's like a lifeline for me.
2. If you're having an anxiety attack and need immediate relief, sit or lie down. breathe in slowly through your nose A count of about five. Make sure you see your stomach rice. Then breathe out through your mouth as though you're blowing out a candle for about five seconds. Do this slowly and deeply. Do it for as many times as needed.
3. go online and either Google or go to YouTube and look up meditative audios for anxiety or negative thinking or for a deep sleep. I put in my earbuds and do this a couple times a day especially when I'm laying down to sleep. find one that you really like. I get so relaxed that I feel like I'm floating. They really help!
4. Stay active and get exercise! This really helps reduce or eliminate symptoms and it really calms me down! The worst thing you can do is sit alone in thinking too much which will increase your anxiety and symptoms. Stay social
5. eat healthy and stay away from sugar! Sugar causes inflammation throughout the body including the brain which increases anxiety and can cause depression. Drink plenty of fluids.
anxiety can produce negative thinking however we can take charge of that and turn things around. Be a fighter for yourself.
those audios online are very helpful! Try them out.
I hope you feel better soon.
