Constant head pressure, tiredness, feeling out of it

Since the summer of 2020 i have been at a lose for what is happening to me, I'm an 18 year old female just graduating from high school. it first started at my job, I had my first disassociation episode i think triggered from anxiety, i felt like i was almost "high" or "tipsy". it happened once over the summer then started happening at school. i would have these episodes that would last about an hour, my friends have said i looked like a "zombie" or "like i just seen a ghost while" i was in these episodes.

i contacted my Doctor and was told it could be ptsd because i did grow up with an abusive father, but i don't believe this is it because i dont get flash backs or even think about him/ dont get a bad panic attack (ps i havent seen my dad in over 5 years) my anxiety its pretty moderate and does not effect my day to day.

i just feel like im slowly deteriorating mentally

i believe my disassociation was caused from a "bad high" from weed ( i was 17 at the time)

currently i wake up everyday tired, my eyes feel heavy until i go to sleep, i have a pressure in my head almost like my brain is being held but just too tight or continuous minor headache (mostly back and right side/temple of head), i feel out of it almost all day- sometimes becoming clumsy and not completely aware of my surroundings, i am unable to remember info such as telling a story i told earlier in the day or week, and have had a really hard time getting basic school work done that should be easy for me personally.

please let me know your thoughts, would help if i could find an answer to this mystery ive been dealing with

i’m sorry you are going through this. I have been through something similar as you when I was in my 20s. Sometimes we have an underlying anxiety that we may not even be aware of but it shows up as physical symptoms.

Anxiety and stress takes a huge toll on the body so it’s common to have symptoms of head pressure, headache, tiredness, weakness, even memory issues can be common but they are temporary.

do you have anyone you can talk to about this? If not, I would recommend that you speak with a counselor who can help you manage this.

The main thing is to learn anxiety and stress management so that you will feel better physically.

It’s really important to take care of your health when you are going through this. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated, eat healthy foods and stay away from junk foods and especially sugar which makes it all worse. Get some exercise even if it’s just going for a walk. Stay away from negativity and focus on being positive.

really try to get support for this! It really helps to talk to someone such as a counselor who sees this every day with patients and they know how to help! I hope you feel better soon take care .

I would definitely start by seeing your primary care doctor for medical advice and work up. sometimes that can really help to put some worries to rest. I also definitely would try to speak with a counselor. I have struggled with anxiety since childhood due to an absent parent and its REALLY eye opening what a difference even a licensed counselor can make. don't lose hope! you're not alone
