Constant headache / migraine for 2 months strait. Need Help!!

So for the past 2 months strait I have had a headache / migraine / headapains all day every day. It started with a pressure feeling with constant aches and shooting / stabing pain that moves around my head. I feel constantly dizzy and i get a weird smell ever couple of minutes that smells like burning plastic or a chemically kind of smell. I have been to the doctor 4 times in the past 2 months, and he has perscibed me 5 different kind of medications and nothing works or helps except for Gabapentin which sometimes takes the edge off. He finally refered me to a neurologist and i have a CT scan today. Im just worried that the neurologist will deny me if the CT scan is negative which my doctor told me could happen. Also i should metion i have heart palpatations and chest pain everyday with my headache and i tried to get a cardiologist referal but they denied me because i have done tests in the past and they all came out OK. Im just looking for advice of what i should do next If i get denied again. This pain that im in is so bad and i just want answers but it seems like my docotor and others arent taking this seriously.

Bob I think it's time for inpatient to receive in meds of magnesium sulfate. You could also be dealing with rebound headaches as well. These types of migraines can induce anxiety and heart palpitations. I don't know if you have a headache specialist or not. If not it's time you get one. Best of luck.

    Hello Bob,

sorry to read you are going through this. 2 years ago, that is exactly how my symptoms started, 24/7 headaches to the point I couldn't put my head on the pillow and then the dizziness and vertigo started. And yes, I get those smells too, but mine are like stale cigar smoke. Doctors don't have an answer to that, look at me like I have 2 heads. After about 6 months of this pain, I was put on amitriptyline, received weekly nerve block injections, and physiotherapy for my neck muscles. I now have breaks from this madness. Dizziness can still be an issue. Keep at those drs. I had the same run around until I walked in to the ER and just collapsed, then they took me seriously. I hope you feel better soon. Keep us updated.
