Constant headache with migraines thrown in..

Hello,

I've never posted to a forum so please excuse the newbie 😊

As the title says, for the past 4+ months I have suffered with headaches pretty much everyday with a migraine attack every week. My doctor has prescribed me propranolol 80mg, a month and a half ago and they don't seem to be having any effect. If anything I feel they are getting worse.

I feel so much pressure in my head, I get dizzy, my eyes feel funny, I'm completely exhausted and at the end of my tether. It's making me so snappy and frustrated, no motivation as I can't move with out my head throbbing. I just don't know what to do and I would appreciate any advice please

Thank you xx

My neurologist has me on migraine preventative. I take Topamax 50mg twice daily and it has helped me tremendously. I have had migraines for 24 years. I have migraines with auras and had a TIA in April. I was started on the Topamax in May. I had severe vertigo after the TIA and that was helped with balance and coordination therapy and also Meclizine.

no idea but i have suffered from a headache now since may 2nd and migrane attacks up to 3 times a day now i am on 0.5 mg on pizotifen which dulls the headaches and now i only get a migrane under stress. i recomend it but as i'm only twelve so you may need a 1.5 mg and it takes a couple weeks to ease the headache but instant results for migranes! yay! keep me informed!

    good luck
