Constant itching - please help!

Hi, I'm experiencing problems with my vulva area. It always seems to be itchy, however the itching isn't intense.. it comes and goes (no feeling/mild when lying or sitting down but gets worse when I'm more active etc). Usually it's bought on more by touch and it feels more tingly. My doctor thinks my discharge is normal, however i do have a stinging pain when i urinate. I do tend to get thrush/BV often, but I've recently completed treatments for these and i still have this feeling. I have tested for all STI's and all are negative (im not even sexually active at present due to the BV/thrush issues). I'm worried that the thrush or BV hasnt fully cleared - if this is the case, what can i do next? I've already exhausted a few options (antibiotics/OTC pessaries and creams/probiotics etc). I also wear just cotton underwear and Ive switched my laundry detergent to a sensitive one. I dont know what else I can do at this stage. Does anyone think it could be anything else?

Hi, after 8 months of hell, I just been diagnosed with vulvar dermographism. Antihistaminic did wonders but I needed 4 times the normal dose. My case is complicated as I barely had any itching.

It seems urticaria is frequently overlooked. You should discuss with your doctor about the different types of urticaria : chronilergic urticaria, urticaria facticia. Maybe he can prescribe antihistaminic. Some types of urticaria are called idiopathic, meaning there's no clear cause... your body just produce histamine for nothing (heat, pressure, friction).
