Constant mild vertigo, needs diagnosis

Posted , 3 users are following.

After a relatively intense bout of badminton 3 days ago, I've experienced constant mild vertigo. It is a clockwise spinning sensation that is independent of head placement. It does not change with activity nor time. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Medical profile:

21 Asian male

Non-drinker

Non-smoker

No substance use

Regular exercise

Relatively high blood pressure (genetic)

I experience infrequent accute tinnitus, but I'm not sure if this is in 1 ear or both.

Sounds like you might have Jarred the crystals in your inner ear and have what is called bppv go see an ENT and they can diagnose it within a minute and fix it right there.

I also think that's the most probable cause right now, but from my readings it seems BPPV is mostly acute and depends on head placement (which mine does not)

Not necessarily. Bppv can be constant although you're right certain head movements would make it more intense. Like bending over for example.

Constant but MILD symptoms.  I am wondering about simple causes such as a middle ear infection, or sinus problems.  I agree that an ENT visit is a good idea as a first step.
