Constant Mucus in Throat for 6 months

When I returned from college roughly 6-7 months ago I fell very ill, I took antibiotics and it went away, I assumed it was because I had an allergic reaction to a hair cream I was using. Ever since recovering from the illness, I have a weird amount of constant Flemish mucus, or just spit in my throat, and I keep having a swallowing sensation. It is mainly noticeable in the morning, but it is terrible at night, nothing soothes it and I toss and turn constantly gulping until I pass out. I've tried going to the doctors who tell me it's just allergies but it's been 6 MONTHS now, I never had these issues when I was at home in the past. I don't know whats causing it, it's nonstop and ruining my life. I have to spit more often than normal, I don't smoke or do drugs, I am very healthy and workout. The best way to describe it is a feeling of something just sticking to the back of my throat and I swallow and it goes away and slowly comes back and it's just rinse and repeat at that point. And when I've left my house it persists, so it isn't the environment either.

Hi
If your not happy with what your doctors are saying go to A&E and see what they say, if they refer you back to your doctor then tell them you want a second opinion , thats why you are there.
