Constant Neck Pain and Throat Issues

So all of my symptoms started in June and I know I have replied to others that are also having neck pain.  It is now September and still have neck pain and what feels like it might be stiff, but it is the weirdest pain and almost feels swollen, but I cant feel anything that would suggest that a lymph node is swollen on the back on my neck BTW is where I have the pain.  Along with that I have had the feeling of a lump in my throat which I went to ENT about a week ago and he scoped it but nothing was there.  It feels as though I am straining to talk sometimes if I talk too much its like I cant talk sometimes.  It is so annoying. and I cant seem to get answers from Dr's.  When they tested me for Mono it came back that I was exposed to it but no active infection, well that is apparently 95% of Americans so I feel so lost and confused by all this.  I went to see a GP and I am pretty sure she thought I was nutz....  I want to get a 2nd opinion but not sure what is the best Dr to see.  Looking for advice..  I need some relief before they admit me to the Looney bin...  Sigh..

It seems to happen right after I start to get the neck pain and then I feel as though I have to strain to talk.  I don't understand this awful virus and why it does that and there seem to be no answers anywhere.   I am so frustrated with this whole thing.

    Hi Jennifer

It's all part of the virus. It affects so many different parts of your body. I didn't get the neck pain until about the 5th month and it lasted a long time. I couldn't sleep on my pillow. I couldn't turn my head while driving. It hurt really bad. I had and still have throat tightness and soreness throughout this entire virus. This virus is so crazy how it affect so many different parts of your body. You are not a lone I experience that too.

    Hey Jennifer,

So sorry to hear you've been having such a tough time lately iwht your throat....you've done all the right things by the sounds of it getting checked out by the doctors, etc. I'm not sure who would be best person to see....maybe an Ear Nose and Throat specialist as you say. I do believe things will get better for you, hang in there and try not to worry - even taking some good vitamins and herbs to boost your immune system would be a good idea at this time - a good strong multi-vitamin can be helpful, and high doses of Vitamin C (1000mg-3000 mg per day), B complex for energy levels and an immune boosting her like oregano or echinicea.
