Constant pain at back of the head from repeated beating from abusive parents

Hi all,
My girlfriend lived with her abusive parents for her whole life (19 years) before moving to my house 18 months ago. Her parents thought that beating your kids is good and builds respect, and they chose to hit her on the crown of the head as hard as they could whenever they wanted to take out their frustrations. Now, a year and a half after the beatings stopped, her crown constantly feels bruised and sore, she can't lean her head on the wall without doing that shocked gasp of pain, then a panic attack from the memory of her beatings. I also notice that her scalp is loose; while mine is taut (spelling?), hers has a looseness, similar to that of the belly skin of someone who's lost weight rapidly, or given birth, that kinda consistency. It's not visible, but you can feel it. I'm wondering what name you'd give this, so we can ask a doctor about it, and potentially use it as leverage when her parents inevitably lie about being abusers.
