Constant phlegm

Hi all over the last few months I have had intermittent indigestion with the odd bout of a burning sensation in the throat and sometimes a little bit of sick coming up! (Sorry) 

Over the last month I have also had an intermittent sore throat and a need to clear my throat because of mucus at the back of the throat. It’s teally getting me down.

My uncle who is a retired ENT surgeon says it sounds as if I have reflux and the phlegm is as a result of the acid from my stomach 

Has anyone else experienced this and what can I do as don’t really want to take medication xx

    Yes, I have it..it is reflux!

    I am not sure it is acid though...

    I had a phmetry test and the findings revealed that I have non acidic reflux ph=7 ( much saliva) and a little bile reflux.

    I am taking occasionally riopan gel , it helps me.. it is not a PPI drug, it is considered safe and mild for protection of stomach

      my symptoms depending on the day of my cycle …

      Some of my main symptoms are saliva in my mouth some hour after eating,, burping, sore throat and coughing sometimes, lump sensation sometimes

      about diet milk chocolate and syrups are that give me the worst symptoms I do not know why..I eat only bitter chocolate

      I  follow a healthy diet, too

    Hi kate yes i suffer with the same problem. Gaggle with warm salt water for a few seconds it really does help. Ive had reflux for 20 years x

    Does anyone else have a constant cough ? This little number just started with all the weight I put on

      Yup me too .. and then it will gradually go away and then next morning it starts all over 

      This menopause thing has been super I mean really super

    Hi Kate, always clearing my throat and coughing in the am. My nose runs on and off clear. No burning for me. Doc says post nasal drip. Was put on otc nose spray. Hoping it works.

    Me too!!!!!!

    Struggled with this for years - constant clearing of my throat.

    I have a salt pipe which is very soothing. 

    All PPIs upset me & give me a pain in my side & nausea - what else is there that can possibly help?  I’m not sure doctors have any answers.
