Constant physical symptoms

I am a 35 female that has been experiencing physical symptoms for as long as I can remember. I feel it only gets worse. I do not take any medication for anxiety. I tried prozac and couldn't sleep for months. I am getting ready to take zoloft but I want to make sure all my heart tests come back normal and then I will begin my journey with anxiety meds while supplementing with Klonepin,. It is the only thing that makes me feel sane when im starting a new med. I hate medication bottom line. It scares me to be dependent on something. I also have taking propranolol for my heart rate and because I have extremely low blood pressure it can make me really dizzy. I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone else has constant symptoms with no real answers. My mom and my current boyfriend of 3 years are convinced it is in my head and causing real symptoms. They do not think it is causes by anything in my body. So I hear, you are crazy. My symptoms are the following,
shortness of breath, rapid heartrate, fatigue, feeling weak and as though I may pass out. I feel like I am 90, best way to describe it, I walk to much I start getting short of breath heart races and I feel as though I am going to pass out. All my tests come back normal. Heart tests showed fast heart rate but no abnormal rythyms. I worked as a salesman before the whole covid and every day was a struggle. I walked all day everyday. Now im cooped up on furlough and i can barley leave my house, or my bed somedays. I am 34 120 and look fit, you would think I felt great. My relationships are hurting. I want to know if I am the only one that this consumes everyday. Please your personal stories would be helpful. thanks

Unless your mom and your boyfriend have had anxiety, I would not suggest you take advice from them. Actually it is in your head where the chemical imbalance is. But it is very much capable of making your body sick or feel sick, and you can not control it. Your serotonin levels are most likely off. Serotonin is created in your intestines and your brain stem and affects your central nervous system and capable of causing many, if not all, the symptoms you described. Zoloft is a good medication, but you have to watch out for side effects with that medication. If it works, it really works well, if it decides it doesnt like you, the side affects are really bad. Not everybody can take the same medication due the the chemistry make up in our bodies, what works for you may not work for me and so on, everybody is different. For instance, I could not take kolonopin, it made me tired and groggy and made me feel out of my head most of the time, so I had to switch to xanex, now I have no more problems. I also take Lexepro and Latuda which are both great medications with minimal side affects. You will get through this and dont let anyone make you feel like you are less of a person because you have anxiety. Its not your fault, you did not ask to be this way. Hang in there and I hope you feel better.

Hello, i too have physical symptoms daily. Mine are always 10x worse of a night, it is almost like a routine now I just expect to feel on edge and anxious at night, it nearly always leads to a panic attack and I have to take 30 minutes each night to calm!
Physical symptoms:
Muscle Twitching
Muscle fatigue
Blurry vision
Limbs feeling heavy
Hyperventillation
Sore chest
Feeling very on edge and unable to relax
Tingling
Rapid heart rate
Feeling weak especially during an attack
The funny thing is If i am really distracted none of this happens Our brains end up re-wiring when you have anxiety and these feelings become the norm. We inadvertently create them ourselves

Dear Megan
You are having anxiety. It's true that people who has not been through a mental health issue will never know what's it like to feel how you are feeling. Also, the symptoms differs from one person to another. try slow breathing..I think you can find on utube a calming breathing video. If I find it I will send it to you. My son has started therapy and he is feeling low, having intrusive thoughts and feeling guilty. I tell him that it's his trauma mind telling him all these, and he will get well as he takes meds and has therapy. The most important thing to do is to be kind to ourself..and care. You will get out of this. With this forum, you get support. Remember, you will be well.

Hi Megan, I've had all your symptoms for over a year and a half. I just wanted to say that I never wanted to take meds but, when peri hit. I had no choice. Anyways, I went through 3 meds that were not working. I finally decided that I was through with just trying a random med and had my doctor do the cheek swab to find a suitable med that coincides with my genes. Surprisingly, I cannot take most meds and only 3 came up that would suit me. The last 3 I was on were probably ones I shouldn't have taken. This one I'm on. I have no side effects since starting it and I truly think this one might work. I wish I would have done this sooner rather then just doing the trial and error that wasted me over a year with meds that caused me horrible side effects that I could not tolerate. Just a thought. Sending hugs!!

Just started desvenlafaxine. Just started 2nd week at 50 mg's 2 day in. I've had some dizziness which I'm hoping subsides. May take 4 weeks or longer to feel results but, I do feel calmer. At this point I can only hope for the best or really try to eventually pull myself out of this. I'm so over it.

Yes, there is a test. I can't name it on here or they will delete my post but, if you message me. I can tell you what it's called. You may have heard of it but, again. It showed up that I couldn't take like 15 meds and I'm so glad I did it because my doctor was just about to try one on that list. I'm in the 2nd week of this med desvenlafaxine that is supposed to work for my genes. I've had some dizziness but, I'm still in the side effect phase. I'm hoping it wears off soon. I had dizziness for the last year that was starting to slow down and now I have to go through this again. That's the case when you start a new med though. Trying to deal but, it's hard. I'm praying this is the last one I have to take. 4th round of side effects is no fun but, you do what you have to. Your insurance may or may not pay for the test. You can find that out though but, again. If you can get it done. I would. Sending hugs!!
