Constant Post Nasal Drip, Tickle in Throat, Cough

Hi,

I am a young 17 year old male. My story started about 8 months ago. I started with a cold, basically a lot of congestion and nasal discharge, fatigue, very mild fever etc. I was going to live in a different country for a year. Where I lived my first 3 months it was very dirty, a lot of mold and dust and pet dander (never had dog/cat allergies before). I never had any allergies before. I ended up having a cold coming off the plane. When I got rid of the cold, I still had that nagging cough or tickle in my throat several times a day. I did not notice any post nasal drip that time. Then about a month after having the cold, I started having sinus pressure and headaches and some nasal discharge green to yellowish, sometimes white. I was treated for that with antibiotics and the infection cleared up, at least the headaches where gone and the green stuff. I still had that nagging cough or tickle. Then IN January i changed locations to cleaner environment. I came down with a cold, starting off with a sore throat and then a lot of green discharge. I ended up with somewhat of a sinus infection again I guess. Got treated for that with antibiiotics.

Now I was left with the white, salty, gluey post nasal drip and the occasional tickle in throat up till now. The tickel is there sometimes, more severe after eating bigger meals but then goes away eventually.

I have tried 3 courses antbiotics, allergy medicines and humidifier. Little to no help.

I have researched just a little on PND and as soon as I get back to my home country in about 2 weeks,  I am going to try everthing to beat it.

It is very annoying and frustrating. BUt i hope this is beatable. I just want to know what the cause is, since pnd alone is not a disease itself just a symptom of one.

I am not sure whether it is LPR, Allergies, Chronic Sinus Infection, Fungal Infection (Candida), NAsal polyps .. list goes on .. you all know lol.

What condition do my symptoms and medical history sound like?

Warm regards.

Max

Max. It appears you may be in for a lifetime of sinusitis if you do not take action now to overcome the problem.

I found complete relief from chronic sinusitis by taking one Evening Primrose capsule daily. If you read my post Sinus Infection-An effective  treatment, posted 14-2-16 you will have my story.

Best of luck in your effort to overcome this problem.

    Regards Ray.

Thanks, appreciate it. I am pretty young and I dont want to suffer with this my entire life, it is really annoying. I will try everything from diet to homeopathy as soon as i get home in 2 weeks. As of right now I can not really do anything.

Max, try 1/4 tsp sea salt, tiny squirt of grapefruit seed extract in a cup of cooled boiled water, twice a day. In a nettie pot. make sure you wash the nettie pot well after each use. Use no more than SIX drops in that WARM water. Whwn I said cooled boiled water, I meant don't make the water too warm. Grape fruit extract is a natural antibotic, and kills fungus. Be very careful with it, it is very concentrated. smile Dena

thanks, i will try all that. this pnd is really annoying. Have you heard of oil of oregano? seen many good reviews about it.

Yes, I want to try that, I've heared good things about it. oh, maybe you should ude 1/16 of sea salt. Don't to harm those little hairs in the sinuses, they , are important for removing impurities.

How does the grape fruit seed extract work for you? What is your story to all those nasty sinus problems, do you suffer from allergies?
