Constant Ringing in Ears / Tinnitus

For nearly a year now I have had a constant hissing/ringing noise in my ears. It started ever since my panic attack. Can someone relate? I am terrified it will get worse.

tinnitus is very common with anxiety and panic. It’s not harmful but I know how annoying it can be because I too have it.

over Time, the brain sort of tunes it out so that it’s not quite as noticeable. I don’t hear it when I’m doing things during the day. It’s only when things are really quiet and it’s in my left ear.

I’ve had it for a very long time but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you will. Unfortunately there’s no real answer as to how to get rid of it permanently. if it gets annoying to me I just make sure that I have music playing or some kind of white noise. At night when I lay down to sleep I always turn on a meditation for sleep so I don’t have to hear it. mine has gotten a little louder recently. It’s really a pain to have and I still want to know why so many people with anxiety have it. I don’t understand what really causes it.I guess there’s worse things but I just wish they would find someway to get rid of it. Take care
