Constant single large red patch on penis shaft

Posted , 3 users are following.

For approximately the past 6 months i have had a single large red patch that feels dry on my penis shaft. It is not itchy or painful, however occasionally when i wake up it has slight white flakes that vanish after my morning shower.

It becomes inflamed after masturbation and slightly burns but they both subside shortly after

I have already been tested with negative results on all diseases and am due to see another doctor this week but would like a bit of clarification on what is going on. Im not sexually active

How it looks most of the time, is dry to the touch

It could be some form of Dermatitis...can you post a photo?

Photos arent the best as it appears that the redness has gone down over the past few hours

It doesn't look like more than a kind of 'chafing'; I've had these myself on the shaft from vigorous stroking with a rough hand, or from partner (when he's gotten really 'into' performing oral on me.) Also, urine can irritate and burn when there's dribble.

Uncircumcised boys (like myself) will have some collection in the foreskin which can trickle and burn tender skin. It's always good to have it looked at. Hope this bit of I

      Insight helps.

I have exactaly the same thing for going on 3 months. Did you ever find out what yours was caused by?

I was worried mine had something to do with HSV as I'd read it on the internet but the GUM clinic assured me it was eczema. I wanted to take a blood test but the GUM clinic reckon they're not all that accurate so they don't do them...😬
