Constant stomach problems

I have seen my GP twice in the last few months for constant indigestion, which now seems to be getting worse. I wake in the night with feelings of hunger-  pangs and regularly feel bloated and sick. Also suffer with awful wind. I’ve tried every antacid going.

On waking, I feel like there’s undigested food in my stomach.

After eating I always have hiccups and I feel generally unwell.

My GP has said that it can’t be a stomach ulcer because I’m not anemic, having a good blood count.

Just wonder if this is the case? Can you have a stomach ulcer without being anaemic?

Thanks

That doesn't make sense to me. I'm not anemic and my doctor thinks I have a gastric ulcer. I haven't had the scope yet. I'm supposed to have it next week to find out for sure.

I have symptoms, but doctor says I can’t have an ulcer, because I’ve not got anaemia. Not been offered a scope.

Can a patient have a stomach ulcer but not be anaemic, having a good blood count?  Sorry if sounds confusing.
