Constant tickle in throat and cough, keeping me up at night any suggestions?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I am in the middle of a 2 week course of diflucan for a esophgael yeast infection and suffer from heartburn and GERD, also a history of asthma and use of inhalers and steroids (which is how I ended up with that kind of infection!) . I have seen my lung dr and he says my lungs are clear and that my cough is from the esophagael spasms and recovery from infection and I cannot use my inhalers ( for obvious reasons). I have some shortness of breath but this cough and constant irritation/tickle causing the cough keeps me up all night. Anyone have any suggestions? I have tried tea, cough drops and even a prescription cough medicine. Thank you in advance!
