I'm so sorry that your mom is going through that. Makes me feel guilty complain about my stomach problems. You said doctors won't help. Has she had any tests done , such as an endoscopy ? There are also several test for paralyzed stomach muscles. I read that most cases are caused by diabetes. After that it is caused by several disorders though. But she definitely needs a doctor in her corner. Most of my docs just wave me off saying well I'm getting older. They tend to blame age for a lot of things so they don't have to do any kind of real research. Sorry I can't offer any more. My prayer are with you and her.

How long after is she vomiting?

Does it seem to be undigested?

Does she throw up on an empty stomach?

    Any nerve issues?

    How is her gag reflex?

    Hi jxybell

What a caring daughter you are to be concerned about your mom in this way!

Perhaps mom needs to change her diet...what food does she eat?.....perhaps she needs to go gluten free, lactofree, sugarfree and caffeine free...these type of foods will heal her stomach and be easier to digest. Gradually introduce these foods into her diet...because she is losing nutrients when vomitting all the time...also leave out citrus fruits and fizzy drinks and spicey foods and ...drink plenty of water. Also probiotics to get good bacteria into her stomach......before starting on this regime check with her doc first......best wishes to you both...

      Hi jxybell

Perhaps the doc can give her anti-sickness medication have you asked them about this?.....because if mom cannot keep anything down she needs to be in hospital where she can have nutrients put into her via intravenous drip.....because her body needs nutrients. Have to ask this is mom having bowel movements and passing urine? Has she had a big weight loss? How are her vitals i.e. blood pressure and blood count etc.,

      Are you in the UK?

      Hi jxybel

Is your mom on blood pressure meds?....or can she not keep them down?.....the weight probably caused by constipation not being able to get rid of what's there....or is she weak and inactive?

This is a dreadful situation for you and your mom. She really needs specialist help...can you contact social services or the welfare and explain to them what is going on and ask them to intervene. There must be something that can be done to help your mom. Give them a call and make an appointment for them to call to your home as I would imagine your mom would be too weak to go see them.....give it a go..you don't say how old you are but you should not be dealing with this on your own.....hope this helps in some way best wishes and kind thoughts to you both...
