Hello  Tosha, I am sorry your struggling so much and for so long. My anxiety and panic attacks happened when my two nephews died. I had never experienced it before. I am on Citalopram now and since taking them i have had no panic attacks and anxiety is greaty decreased. I suggest you go back to your GP and explain everything about how you are feeling. There are lots of meds to try.

    Best wishes.

    Elizabeth.

Hi tosha I can totally relate to what your saying, I also feel I'll day in day out only my fear is that I'm going to go insane at any moment and lose control I constantly check my thoughts to make sure I'm having the right thoughts. I read a book called self help for your nerves by Dr Clair weeks which sometimes brings relief she gives an in depth explanation for what we are going through, she describes exactly what your going with your fear of a heart attack. When that incident happened with your friends mum it's quite easy to see how you became frightened and now it's difficult to think of anything else especially when the symptoms of anxiety mimic what we imagine a heart attack to feel like but Clair weeks explains how we trick ourselves and keep our selves in a vicious circle.I would recommend the book,I'm sure it will bring you some peace and reassurance she has taken the time to explain what the gp,s fail to do. Anyway love I hope this helps it's a dreadful thing to go through x

Hey, I know these feelings well I have suffered with anxiety and depression for 20 years my anxiety attacks can come on any given time in any given place, I too sometimes feel like I'm going to die, it's a horrible feeling and something about to learn to live with for the past 20 years.

Maybe discuss with your doctor about a different line of medication they may be what you're taking is not right for you there will be some medication out there that will be right and will make you feel so much better.

Try and recognise what the triggers maybe to the anxiety attacks in doing this you will be able to steer clear of the negative feelings that can cause a massive attack to happen, and for you it's obviously something that you're dealing with constantly.

I would definitely go back to your doctor and discuss with him again how you're feeling and that possibly the medication is not right for you and is not working out how it should do.

Good luck and I wish you well and hope you're feeling better soon
