Constantly sore and inflamed soleus muscles

My husband had a standing job for many years.  Now he feels sore and inflamed soleus along with achillis tendon on both legs all the time even at rest. He was told by the doctor to rest, to do stretching and to do exercises on a step. It helps a little but then 5 minutes of standing ruins everything. So rest, stretching and self-massaging don't help. He suffers from this condition for a few years now.  Any ideas how to fix it? Thank you

Hi, my father had similar problems after an injury. His Achilles tendon was inflamed for a long time and he was limping and couldn't walk properly. What ultimately helped was electrotherapy. Many sessions spread over weeks about 20min each. On top of that physiotherapy and stretching (on a step and by leaning against a wall). I also made him apply Magnesium oil. It helps with cramping and tense muscles.

Thank you for your reply. We'll try electrotherapy. I hope it will help.
