Hi feeling of doom constantly wearing me out, I managed to get to the local shops but couldn't get home quick enough, this anxiety has me worn out. I have appointment to see heart specialist on Wednesday so fingers crossed I get all clear. I have sufered from panic attacks on and off for many years but lately the anxiety seems to be constant. I keep getting a pain in my left arm so of course I'm about to take a heart attack,  This obsession with my heart is driving me crazy,  I get pappatations and skipped heardbeats all the time, my doc thinks it's menopause related but is sending me for tests to be sure. Please tell me I'm not the only one and that i'm not going mad

anxiety alone can cause any number of physical symptoms, and once you start obsessing about it - it hits all the harder!  The only way to really control it is to try to deal with your route anxiety either with therapy or meds if you want to go down that route

Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. feeling half normal and then bang pain in left arm and in a complete panic. My logical head tells me if it was serious it would have killed me by now but my irrational head says heart attack or anginafrown

It all heightened during peri menapause and stays to a lesser degree with menapause. It does calm down.i guess the hormonal levels all over the olace mess around with anxiety. My doc says to use coenyme q10, a b complex and fish oil and eat as heathy as you can.no caffiene anymore. And lots of water if you are sweating a lot. I did go to a heart specialist and soent two weeks taking all these tests and such to rule out all heart stuff. I do have a mvp and teeny tiny tricuspid leak neither thencause for the panic attacks. Mvp mimics anxiety but it feels different so i do know the difference between the two,  menapause alters everything you end up with a different body you have to get used to it. Not fair lhaha but it is what it is. Go read through the menapause sites for more information. What i can tell you is it does calm itself down but takes a bit of time until your body re regulates the hormone changes. One of the classic sign of anxiety..Classic panic attacks is heart and arm..it is classic. Peri menapause takes years to get to menapause.
