Constipated for 5 months

Hi everyone,

The past 5 months have been a living hell for me. I have been constipated for an 5 entire months and it is destroying my life. I am unable to go without taking painful laxatives.

I have tried everything.  Increased fiber, probiotics, stool softeners, I even went vegan to see if it would help etc but the only thing that works is dulcolax which is a laxative. I take 3 every Saturday night to flush whatever I can.

I have seen my doctor and emailed her constantly. I've had x-rays, blood work and a cat scan about 2 months ago. They have found nothing and said my digestive system is just slow. Ok?!! But how am I suppose to live like that?!

I currently am going to get an anal manometry test in hopes of them finding out what exactly is wrong.  I am 25 by the way. This happened to me when I was about 19, I was constipated for 2 months but it went away with miralax. My dr said to take miralex 3 times a day but it gives no relief anymore.

Please if anyone has gone through something similar like this, let me know.  And how do you get relief?

Mine started about a week ago.  First small stools then no urge or pain. Tried senakot. After a day had a small BM  mine might be stress related. Today I got a small stool twice. Type 5 I think. I don't have the urge or any cramping or pain. Weird. Should I try to keep going. Only been 7-10 days.  Had similar constipation 5 years ago maybe.

I have developed a physical technique which helps with the process of pooing after suffering really bad impaction. This technique eliminates straining and works to keep you regular. The process is explained in my booklet title ‘Goodbye Constipation’, available online at all good e-book outlets for $3.00
