constipation... worst pain please advise!Posted about 7 hours agohey,
I've not gone to the loo for a number 2 in 11 days... I am not too worried tho as i had surgery 11 days ago and was off food up until 2 days ago i started eating normally again, before that i was on fluids and yoghurts and rice pudding my diet intake was very low. and i was on strong pain killers known to cause constipation i have stopped taking them as of a few days ago.
yesterday i had the urge to use the bathroom and when i went it was extreemly painful and i couldn't pass anything, i sat there for hours and nothing it hurts to sit stand and i suddenly get ugres that i need to go but cannot.
l took two senna tablets last night and they did help me from feeling bloated and at 1 am i felt like i needed to go so went to the toilet but nothing but extreeme pain. Ashamedly i did attempt self exacuation as the pain was so mucch and did clear some of it but not all. I think that it is clumped in a ball instead of a sausage shape (so sorry for the description!) so i cannot pass it.
what will be best to clear it continue with senna or go and get a sepositiory from the pharmacy if they do them over the counter.
i am currently drinking strong coffee at 2 am to move things along so any help or experiences would be helpful sorry to be so descriptive in this horrible topic!
horrible update, i went to the loo this morning and had to self evacuate a small amount i do feel better but couldnt get it all, it is soft but just too big for me to pass, is there anything that will give me the runs until i pass it as awful as the runs are

I was also stuck for hours and had to self evacuate as the pain was just horrendous. I had some micro enemas lying about so I used some up the way and that helped loosen a bit of the stool that was there, I then used clean water to also do the same. Prune juice for me makes me run to the toilet and it's a lot more watery. I take dulcolax and lactalose and I've had diarrhoea for days but I would rather that then the pain I've felt.
I hope you manage to go and it's not to painful for you!

It really is a horrible thing to go through. But now you know what will help in the future as well. Yeah it does get very sore down there! You better make sure you don't have a hemiroides if you've had to strain. I got some cream for mines as its hanging out xx
