    Hi all

Haven't posted for a while and I am pleased to say I am feeling allot better. I have my days but the pain is much calmer.

I had my MRI in June obviously it's now September and I do not have any sign of any appointment with my consultant.

I suffer with Claustrophobia and I do not like having MRI, I will avoid at all costs. I am getting a little worried I am going back to square one as the weeks pass by with no consultation! Every clerk I have spoken to at the hospital have told me I could be waiting a while longer....

So I guess I am asking has anybody experienced this and what are the time frames on this?

    Hi,

Who and why was the mri arranged by? I assume you have problems, physically, and after seeing your gp an appointment was made and the mri was carried out. Did they not tell you where they would send the results to, ie gp or consultant.

Before you see a consultant the mri would be looked at to get whatever they are trying to sort out verified. Sorry if I haven't worded correctly but I have to battle meds fatigue as well as predictive text.

    Hi Mike

Doctor arranged MRI to avoid a long wait, Doc called me back after 2 weeks with results (a consultant had commented listing the disc and that nuro surgery was recommended) So I still haven't got any appointment......

    Thanks for reply!

    Hi sar2017,

Now I understand. You will hear from the neurosurgeons secretary, or admissions as soon as they can sort an appointment .

It will probably arrive with an appointment for pre surgery , then the operation within 2-3 weeks later. Of course by then it will be close to winter, their busiest time, and because of emergencies, cancellations do occur.

    Best wishes,

    Mike.
