Contact Dermatitis

 I keep getting flare ups of a very sore blistered ring finger. I even thought my engagement and eternity rings might have not been gold!! After reading all about contact dermatitis on this site I reckon its what I have. I have realised I get a flare up when I have been washing up with fairy liquid then I have to take my rings off until it calms down about 7 - 10 days. It is so painful like a bad burn, it blisters and cracks and then flakes. I know now I have to wear rubber gloves when I wash up and probably always will have to. I will moisturise my hands more regular during the day. Thank you. smile

I get flare ups at least once a week and some times its so bad i cannot given get out of bed because i cant walk or use my hands.

I am allergic to mostly everything which is hard. Shoes, cream, lotions make-up and lots more. Fly spray i found out i cannot be around, when some one sprays fly spray i flare up.

Your site has helped me to understand my condition and know that im not the only one with it.

    Thank You. :P [/b:adfe80ed01][/color:adfe80ed01]

    Hi

the mechanism is this - your rings will hold underneath them all sorts of irritants 0 washing up liquid - shampoo - soap - bleach - gardening dirt - anything you ever touch - and coz its tough is to wash away it will then burn and irritate so you are right to remove them and allow recovery otherwise it might spread to other fingers
